Definition of a Himbo: an attractive but unintelligent man. Baatu has gone from the innocent and bullied child, to the asshole and disrespectful teenager, to the resilient and loyal adult. This Xaelazen has had a bad reputation amongst circles as a rowdy and violent guy, but he has learned to be kind and respectful. A total extrovert, he is very personable and loves to make new friends. Full of loud energy, Baatu makes for a good companion for partying, fishing, sparring, and other fun activities. He wants to make friends with just about anyone.
At a glance, Baatu is quite frightening. He stands at a hulking 7'2"/219cm with a heavy set of brawny muscles. His size alone is intimidatingly large, but his scarred black eye and glowing orange eye adds to this display. He is almost always seen with a smile or smirk across his wide lips, showing off his sharp canines. His thick scales are an obsidian black and chipped from old scars, and he has a long expressive tail that is comparable to a hefty rope. Being Elezen and Au Ri, Baatu has horns that wrap around his pointed ears. His body is littered with old and new scars, both small and large. His short hair is jet black and often slicked back in style.
When it comes to attire, Baatu is usually in a button tee-shirt with shorts or full plate- truly dependent on if he's working or not.
Asking Baatu about where he's from would force a roll of his eye. Explaining he is from Ishgard, Baatu would elaborate and say that Ul'dah and Kugane are more of his home now. Of course he still visits his mother and friends in Ishgard, but that stone cold city has some sour memories. The Moonlit Shield has a history that he wouldn't mind sharing over a few glasses of whiskey.

RP Hooks
Present Day
TRAVELER. First and foremost, Baatu travels a lot, for work and for pleasure. You might catch him on a ship, on his blue chocobo Dracul, or even simply walking on the road.
IMMORTAL FLAMES. If you are a member of the Immortal Flames, it's likely you've heard of the sturdy Captain Ardakium.
KUGANE. Though he often travels all over the world, you may catch him in his home in Kugane with his "wife" and kids.
ISHGARD. If you frequent the stone cold city, you might bump into Baatu from time to time while he visits old friends and scarce family.
COOKING. If you are an avid food lover and/or chef, he would love to cook for you or exchange recipes! Baatu also owns a restaurant in Ul'dah that mostly serves as a place for friends to hang out.
FISHING. You'd likely catch Baatu relaxing with a bottle of liquor and a fishing pole. Accompany him!
FATHERHOOD. Baatu has been married for a few years now and enjoys the challenge of being a parent. You might be able to bond over this, or even be hired to babysit the kiddos.
Early Years (Past RP)
ISHGARDIAN. Growing up in Ishgard, Baatu was quite a rebel in younger years. You'd probably know of him in his rowdy and brutish ways or as the odd Half-Xaela kid.
MERC WORK. Leaving Ishgard and heading down south it's possible you bumped into him on the road or during a job.
FLAME RECRUIT. Making a new home in Ul'dah, Baatu was picked up by the Flames. If you were also a soldier, you might have even gotten a home cooked meal from him.
BARS & HOOK-UPS. Drinking, partying, one night stands. You know the drill. Even in his days in Ishgard, he was sleeping around quite a bit. Baatu was also an avid audience member of dancers and musicians.
Rare Hooks
MIXED RACE. If you are mixed race, you'd likely catch his attention, especially if you're Xaela or Elezen.
AETHER LEAK. Baatu has a natural "leak" of aether, forming a bit of a feel-good aura around him. If you're aether inclined, you might notice.
MOSS? An unusual korpokkur named Moss seems to follow Baatu around quite often. It is not as it seems, though the big idiot denies that I could be a voidsent.
Baatu has many branches to his story and his tree is ever growing. If you have ideas about how your character could meet him that aren't listed, please inquire! There are plentiful opportunities for fun and weird hooks. And not everything has to be "good" as it's possible that our characters could start off on the wrong foot!

I don't ERP with strangers and am not really interested in it. However, I do enjoy chatting about such character interactions and even taking screenies or making art of such things.
